Looking at 2025
Sad to see President Biden’s and Vice President Harris’s term come to an end.
- Moving in to this new year of my practice.
- Getting back to my archive of nature photography I’ve shot in our National Parks, and on our shorelines viewing New York Harbor.
- Recently having seen video footage my mom shot visiting my dad when he was in the Marine Corp Reserves in the late 60s/early 70s—the youth of America then
- Thinking about American Nobel Laureate Bob Dylan, and his very recent work. “Rough And Rowdy Ways” continues to express the characterization of the American spirit
- Looking toward what my work can do, intersecting the Italian-American immigrant story with New York City’s past 125 years. Intersecting Fabulism; Commedia dell’Arte; the history of the Workers movement; folk wisdom; city life; American working class lives; the wide (and also problematic) history of the Catholic Church; the history of Opera; American Polular Culture and its proliferation
- Besides integrating my Italian heritage, I’m also looking at a few particular international intersections in my work— with the United Kingdom; with Ireland; with Japan; with India.
- Getting to talking about the Popular Culture British Invasion
